IIIT offers very limited courses/disciplines. Whereas SASTRA offers a lot of engineering branches. Going by NIRF, SASTRA is ranked higher. But when it comes to the disciplines IIIT offers, and comparing it with the corresponding programs in SASTRA, I would say most of the older IIITs are way better.
