Are you trying to get Sugar Lumps in Cookie Clicker but you're not sure how? To unlock Sugar Lumps, you must bake at least one billion cookies. This will take some time, but if you're persistent then you'll get there sooner than you realize. In this article we'll go over all the ways you can get Sugar Lumps after you unlock them, as well as the different types of Sugar Lumps available in the game.
Quick Tips to Unlock Sugar Lumps in Cookie Clicker
To unlock Sugar Lumps in Cookie Clicker, you must bake one billion cookies first. After you do this, Sugar Lumps will automatically begin growing. It takes a Sugar Lump 18 to 24 hours to grow, after which you can harvest anywhere from 0 to 8 Sugar Lumps (depending on which of the 5 Lumps you grew).

Bake one billion cookies. In order to unlock Sugar Lumps, you must bake at least one billion cookies. Once you do this, you'll get a pop-up in game explaining that you have unlocked Sugar Lumps and that they have immediately started growing.[1]
2
Tap on mature or ripe Sugar Lumps to harvest them. You can harvest a Sugar Lump as soon as it's matured, but there is a 50% chance that you won't get any Lumps this way. If you allow a Sugar Lump to fully ripen, you are guaranteed to get Lumps.
- If you don't tap on a ripened Sugar Lump, it will fall, and the Sugar Lumps will be automatically harvested for you. This happens even when the game is closed.
- It takes 20 hours for a Sugar Lump to mature, 3 hours to ripen, and 1 hour to fall.

Use an alternative method. There are three other ways you can get Sugar Lumps:
- Get the "Sweet" effect after tapping on a Golden Cookie or Wrath Cookie. You have about a 0.01% chance of getting the "Sweet" effect, which grants you one Sugar Lump.
- Harvest a mature Juicy Queenbeet in the Garden. This will get you one Sugar Lump.
- Sacrifice your Garden after you get every seed. This will get you 10 Sugar Lumps.

Normal Sugar Lumps. These are the most common types of Sugar Lumps. When harvested, they will always give 1 Sugar Lump.
2
Bifurcated Sugar Lumps. When harvested, you have a 50% chance of getting 1 Sugar Lump and 50% chance of getting 2 Sugar Lumps. If you have the Sucralosia Inutilis Heavenly Upgrade, the chance of getting 2 Lumps increases to 52.5% (and the chance of getting 1 Lump is lowered in turn).
3
Caramelized Sugar Lumps. This Sugar Lump gives you an equal chance of getting 1 to 3 Sugar Lumps when harvested. Harvesting this Sugar Lump will also give an effect that refills all of your Sugar Lump cooldowns.
4
Golden Sugar Lumps. The rarest type of Sugar Lump, these Lumps will give 2 to 7 Sugar Lumps when harvested. When you harvest a Golden Sugar Lump, all the cookies in your bank are doubled and you get the "Sugar Blessing" effect, which makes Golden Cookies 10% more likely to appear for 24 hours.
5
Meaty Sugar Lumps. These Sugar Lumps only drop during the Grandmapocalypse event. The Meaty Sugar Lump has a 40% chance to drop either 0 or 2 Sugar Lumps, and a 20% chance to drop 1 Sugar Lump.
