Today, I watched a brief video that summed up what has always been important to me...when you are evaluating your abilities as a leader, are your team members better off working for you? Do you create a sense of emotional and physical resiliency in the workplace? Do you help create a culture of problem-solvers? And finally, are you creating opportunities for "market-relevant skills" for them (Ellyn Shook)? Our economy is always in flux; sometimes good, sometimes scary. As leaders, it is our role to coach, lead, and create opportunities for our staff to develop, grow and become more! Does it mean coaching them through a project, or walking them through a session to determine the most meaningful capstone?Find ways to always lead your team members to a new and brighter future. If things are great, they might stay with you, or they may fly to a truly better situation for them. Create that environment. Your team isn't there for you to "own" but to grow!

What does it truly mean to have a leader's mindset?A leader's mindset is not just about staying ahead of the competition or making the tough decisions. But to do so, you need a mindset that is focused on growth, innovation, and resilience. So, how can you develop a leader's mindset? Start by committing to lifelong learning, taking risks and learning from failures, staying flexible and open-minded, and being intentional in your communication and interactions with others. Practice self-reflection and surround yourself with mentors and peers who push you to be your best self. With the right mindset, you can overcome any obstacle, achieve any goal, and create a lasting impact on your organization, your team, and your industry. #innovation #team #learning #mindset #collaboration #communicationskills #leader

The three most important words every leader must learn and master: "I don't know."When you face unexpected challenges, take a moment. It’s ok to say: "I don't know."When you say it, people feel:• That they can trust you.• That it's permissible to seek answers without having them.• You are partners in search of clarity and direction.Stop trying to be the lone hero, bearing all the weight. People don’t need rescuing. They need empowerment. You can say:• I don’t know, but step by step, we can figure it out together.• I don’t know, but I’m gathering the information that will guide us.• I don’t know, but let’s explore this journey of discovery. The future of leadership isn't about individual powers but about empowered teams. Together, we grow stronger, wiser, and more resilient. ----------------❇️ 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘙𝘶𝘥𝘯𝘪𝘬.⭐️ 𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘐𝘴𝘳𝘢𝘦𝘭 ⭐️ 𝘔𝘺 𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘴𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦⭐️ 𝘐 𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 #futureofwork, #teamdesign 𝘢𝘯𝘥 #virtualteams 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘐 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 #StandAgainstHamas♻️ 𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘧𝘶𝘭, 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬.🔗 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘦

As a business owner and leader, navigating the journey often resembles riding an emotional roller coaster. There are moments when you feel valued, respected, and genuinely impactful. However, just as swiftly, unexpected feedback can throw you off balance. Without emotional regulation, it's easy for setbacks to overshadow your progress.Last week I definitely experienced both.I've found that the key lies in prioritizing what's within my control. How I respond—or choose not to respond—can significantly influence outcomes. Maintaining emotional equilibrium is crucial, resisting the urge to let successes inflate one's ego or setbacks deflate one's confidence. In today's ever-changing world, staying steady requires much self-reflection. How do you create time for self-reflection? And what are your best strategies for keeping your cool and staying balanced as a leader?

As I photographed an indigo bloom awaiting the morning sun on my SoCal desert hike yesterday, I also saw evidence that big horn sheep were nearby. I considered the palpable sense of anticipation that comes with seasonal change (the indigos bloom, the sheep descend as the weather cools). Just as in nature, #anticipation is a formidable force in executive coaching. In the same way that the indigo blossom awaits the sun's rays to unfold its beauty, coaches facilitate a discovery process, guiding leaders to silence their internal judges and focus on values and strengths. Leaders must anticipate challenges and opportunities that lie ahead to create followers.Anticipation in executive #coaching is not just about foreseeing what's next but also about cultivating a mindset of #readiness and agility, allowing one to learn, pivot, and adapt. These are hallmarks of #career #success. Coaching is about nurturing self-awareness that inspires clients to grow and #achieve. How do you harness the power of anticipation to enhance your leadership and cultivate a more #agile team?#hr #mikehorne #od #executivecoach
