I'm similarly getting bored with waiting for Sony to bring these out. Same with Panasonic. If JL drop the price of the js9000 I may go for that in the next couple of weeks. If I can live with the curve.

Samsung UE55JS9000 55" 9 Series Curved SUHD Smart 3D LED TV with Freeview HD and Freesat HD.
Bloody bargain at that price
As I know from the thread you've linked too, but thanks for putting the heads up...

Will the new Sony have Depth control like the Samsung's, so the picture has that extra punch rather then looking flat?

I demo'd the 65 js9000 yesterday and was impressed with what I saw. Not gonna bite the bullet until I see this though and it does look promising. The sound also is very good, something that I would say was one of the only niggles I had with the js

New menus, nice... I hope they'll end up in all 2015 models.

I like how they've changed the PQ adjustment menus, the current one is very fiddly if you're trying to calibrate the set (and I mean properly calibrate, not with a setup DVD and a blue filter).
Sony have had the same style adjustment menus for years so I'm glad they've finally gone for something a bit different.

Glass fronted, that's good, but can't see any "Record" button on the remote like earlier models had. UK site spec. says it CAN record to external HDD tho. Odd.
Anyone confirm ?

According to flatpanelshd only the 94C 75" will have full HDR and going by Sony's site spec's the 93C will have a lessor version - Extended Dynamic Range Pro vs. Extended Dynamic Range.

They both will have full HDR support. Both will support 10-bit 4:2:0 which is the format for UHD HDR Bluray.
Do you have a link?

The post you linked to is 6-7 weeks old. At that time people were unsure if both models would support HDR. Sony announced in a press release both the X930C and X940C will receive a summer firmware update for HDR support. They later clarified both the 55" and 65" X930C will receive the update.

I'd still like clarification over pro and none pro (much like if it's similar to dimming methods being software plus hardware or just software) as there must be a difference.

Why are the new Sony TV 2015 Range taking so long in shops compared to others?

Just read on another Sony forum on this site that someone has hooked up a Sky LNB feed to their TV to receive a 4K Astra channel. I assume these TVs will have a Sat. input socket too, so we could do the same. Any news on the "REC" button issue I flagged, btw ?

I think the 75" set has full array local dimming whereas the 65" and 55" are edge dimming sets (just like the current X9005B range).
[edit] Yep, if you look in the spec list you posted you'll see Edge LED listed for the 55 and 65 and Direct LED for the 75.

So our sets get the "REC" button, but the US didn't.. ( From the Currys site )
Just need to find out whether we get the Satellite input socket now.

I purchased the Samsung JS9000 and have sent it back. Was not that impressed. The one connect box was loud, recording and lip sync problems, the curved bezel looked liked it was kinked and i had to unplug it from the wall due to freezing all the time.
I have now ordered the Sony X93C.Hopefully this will be a lot better.Have been told delivery should be around the 15th-16th June.Counting down the days.
