It’s around 3 hours each way. I will have to get someone to drop me off there. I don’t think I want to do it, but thank you for your input. I was adamant I would do it, but now you’ve made me think about it.

I don’t have a pickup date yet. My delivery window is June 17th-30th. I phoned them and was told that if I don’t accept the delivery in Dublin, I will lose the free supercharging offer.

Thanks, I better give them a call so. I'd be ok to change to Dublin and go for the spin to keep the supercharging.

It'd be a fun drive home!

I haven't seen anything concrete but someone who picked up a car in the UK mentioned they were valid for 3 years.

Anyone pick up or waiting on a Model Y RWD from Berlin with a BYD battery the vin would have an E as it’s 7th character. I’m curious to know is that variant being built in RHD.

I'm waiting on a MY RWD. The VIN is from Belin but the 7th character is F so im assuming that's the CATL battery.

yes that F is CATL E is BYD. I must take a walk around the cars in Cork tomorrow to see can I spot an E in any VIN there.

why did you get 20k free miles?! I got 150km from them but even after calling them they never got credited. Wasn’t bothered chasing them as there’s no supercharger near me

Its a recently introduced (time bound incentive) introduced in the last week and applicable to all cars picked up from that date to 30th June ..most likely to help clear the decks with any cars in Inventory.

well presumably you can just say “don’t stress lads, I’m happy to wait for you to deliver the car to my collection point”.

They can hardly say “we’re giving your car away soz” 🤪.

Have to say I find this Tesla pressure on paying customers to be a massive turn off. It’s like they think their vehicles are some sort of rarity and you’re lucky to be given one

That's exactly what they said they will do.

Collect it in Dublin or we will unmatched you from the car you have bought and paid for.

We don't have the logistics to get the car to Cork.

You could chance your arm and cancel. Then buy it from inventory (if it makes it to it) on 1st July. Get 242 reg but it wouldn’t be worth the loss of free SuC IMO.

      Well assuming you get 5km per kWh then 20,000km divided by 5km = 4,000kWh @ let's say 64 cents per kWh at a SUC = €2,560

My car would cost me €2,700 in petrol to cover 20,000km at €1.80\litre. So that's the real saving I would see if I switched. I cover 1,000km per week so 20 weeks worth of free driving to me the offer is worth.

Only problem is there's no sub €40k M3 in the inventory ready for delivery.

But if you mainly home charge on night rate then it might only be worth €500 or less.

In our case it would be worthless, because I'm not going to spend the time traveling to and waiting at an SuC for less than €500 of savings.

Is it transferable to the next owner?

If not, it’s not worth that much to most people, who wouldn’t use 20,000km of supercharging in their lifetime, never mind just on one vehicle.

Swallow your principles or call their bluff I suppose.

Just remember that once you leave the Dublin collection, they’ve got all they needed from you.
one person - one sale - one delivery. Bye 👋

There used to be so much talk about how easy Tesla’s sales model is - but in reality you'd really need to want a Tesla, to buy one.

supercharging has nothing to do with your home charging. It is the public charging network. If you plan on home charging and have no need to charge outside of that then this offer is useless to you.

Been on the fence since March and waiting to test a M3P before deciding on that or the LR. Went into Cork Tesla for confirmation: have to pick up car in June to avoid any impending M3 EU tariff price increase. A €250 deposit at current price won’t lock it in for a July pickup, as some people on here seem to have been told. So you would have to be lucky with a well priced currently available version and buy in June to get at “now advertised” pricing. Still no M3P in sight to test before July and only “upgraded” LRs to pickup immediately. If it ends up being ~20% hike I won’t be swapping from my 530e. They really do have a bizarre selling model.

That's just the months (and sometimes it's the month just gone by so I don't trust it)... At some point you get DD/MMM. - DD/MMM ? Don't you ?
